On April 2, 1961, in Uniontown, he was married to Roberta S. Kohrman, who survives in Logansport.

Danny was a graduate of Uniontown High School. He was career military, having served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He entered the Air Force on April 5, 1961, and honorably retired on March 31, 1984, after 22 years, 11 months, and 26 days of service.
