After 72 seasons with us on Earth, Darlene Marie Natt, with her loving granddaughter, Susan by her side, dozed into the tranquil peace of eternal rest on Tuesday morning, October 9, 2018. She was greeted at Heaven’s gate by her parents Homer Gordon and Willie Mae Scott, 3 brothers; Eddie Dean Gordon, Carl Wayne Gordon, and Shelby Ray Gordon, Sr., 2 sisters; Excie Jackson Darlene was born February 5, 1946, in DeQueen, Arkansas the daughter of Homer K. Gordon and Willie Mae Scott Gordon. She attended Dunbar Elementary and graduated from Dunbar High School.

Darlene married Henry Natt, Jr. in 1963. Darlene was baptized at St. John Baptist Church at a young age and later in life joined Macedonia Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until stricken with illness, but she never lost her faith in God. She loved reading her Bible and listening to her favorite gospel music singer, Rance Allen.

She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower garden, quilting, and she loved and cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. She worked for Kellwood Jeans Manufacturing Company in Idabel, Oklahoma for several years. Darlene loved children so much she decided to change her career and become a head start teacher, where she taught at Broken Bow Head Start for over 20 years, she was a very big advocate for education, encouraging everyone to get an education, she always gave good advice and was very blunt and to the point.

Her memory will forever be in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Darlene leaves to cherish her memory, her husband; Henry Natt, Jr. of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, her sons; Frankie Natt, Bruce Natt and wife, Kimmi of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Demetric Natt and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jeffery Natt and wife, Sonja of Houston, Texas, daughters; DeVeshia Butler and husband, Johnny of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Kiamita Natt of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, sisters; Maxine Cherry of dallas, Texas, and Shirley Satchel of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A visitation or family and friends will be Friday, October 12, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Washington officiating. Interment will follow at Lukfata Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
