David Bogan, 49, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, surrounded by loved ones after a short struggle with cancer. David had a life-long passion for music and attended the Girard Academic Music Program (GAMP) before becoming a proud member of the Temple University Diamond Marching Band. He also worked as an on-air personality at Temple’s radio station, WRTI, before graduating with his Communications degree in Radio, Television, and Film.

Born in Philadelphia on May 13, 1969, David was an Interactive Project Manager working in the technology industry throughout his career. He had many loves including singing, his late cat Miles, and the Philadelphia Eagles. David is survived by his mother, Alfreda (Bogan) Walker; his step-father, Leroy Powell; his brother, Aaron Walker; his nephew, Aaron Walker Jr.; his close friends, Vincent and Kellie Catanzaro; his godsons, Thomas and Alexander Catanzaro; and a host of family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry White. Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 18, at 9:30am, and service will be officiated by Pastor Keith Whaley at 10:30am, both at the Volpe Funeral Home, Norristown, PA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in David’s memory. Keith Whaley is lead pastor at CityReach Church, Burlington. Arrangements are under the direction of the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA.
