David C. Carlson, age 75, of Annandale died Friday, March 8, 2019 from complications with Parkinsons. He died at his home on Clearwater Lake with family at his side. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale with Rev.

David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Annandale. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

David Charles Carlson was born March 20, 1943 in Annandale to Leonard and Bernice (Cochran) Carlson. He grew up in Annandale, graduating from Annandale High School with the Class of 1961. He continued his education at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis.

Dave owned and operated Carlson Plumbing and Heating, retiring in 1997. He also started a real estate development company, Carlson Investment Properties. On August 14, 1993, Dave was united in marriage to Joy Carlson at their home on Clearwater Lake.

Dave was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Annandale Conservation Club and the Annandale Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, boating, cars, motorcycles, having fun and construction. He seemed to be able to fix or renovate anything.

Dave cherished his time with the little ones, his family and his friends. He loved the sunsets on Clearwater Lake. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joy; children, Chuck Carlson of Annandale, Doug (Mandy) Carlson of Savage, Marci (Andy) Segner of South Haven, Lisa (Paul) Harer of Baldwin, WI and Pat (Eva) Hill of Annandale; eight grandchildren, Eric and Emma Carlson, Jimmy and Julia Segner, Tyler and Olivia Harer, and MJ and Jackson Hill; sisters and brothers, Mary Mattson of Richvale, CA, Jerry (Lois) Carlson of Maple Lake, Dan (Marlys) Carlson of Annandale, Kathy Kittelson of Minneapolis, Bob (Diane) Carlson of Annandale, Glenda (Dean) Thurk of Annandale and Laurie Carlson (Ivan Mihovilovic) of Miami, FL; and many nephews and nieces.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Carlson; brother, Gordy Carlson; and step daughter Julie Hill. Orma Lou Jacobsma and Laura Thurk will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
