Mr. David Earl Durden passed away at his residence in Cameron, NC on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Mr. Durden is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pait Durden; a son, Daniel Durden; his parents, Wilbur and Ida Mae Durden; and a brother, Bobby Durden. He is survived by two sons, Marcus H. Durden (Kathie) of Moncks Corner, S.C. and Davie Mitchell (Angela) of Alvarado, TX; three sisters, Kathleen (Andy) Davis of Cameron, Judy (Foster) Allen of Lumberton and Patricia (Foster) Britt of Grays Creek; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

David was a member of the Good Shephard Baptist Church of Cameron. He was well known as being a very straight forward, selfless, loving family man. He was an upstanding citizen of NC who would always help others in their time of need.

He will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery with Rev. George Brice officiating.

In lieu of flowers, David has requested donation be made to Skill Creation Foundation, PO Box 1636 Goldsboro, NC 27533 (www. skillcreations.com), in memory of his son, Daniel Durden. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Joyce Brim of Wilmington for her loving support and assistance during their time of need.

She has been a blessing to us all.
