David’s Obituary David Edward Pierson was born August 8, 1945 in Redding, California. He died unexpectedly on March 6, 2019 in Spanaway, Washington. He was 73 years old.

David served his country in the army in Korea. The Tacoma area has been his home for over 60 years. He was a crane operator with Kaiser aluminum in Tacoma for 32 years.

He was a part of the Eagles chapter in Spanaway. Animals were a love of David’s life, especially his cats and rabbit (“Sable”). He was an expert fisherman and loved camping.

His 1970 GMC 4 x 4 took him on many adventures! Guns and knives was one of his passions. He was known for his off the wall sense of humor, very opinionated and knowledge of trivial details!

He was loved by everyone. He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Lynn Pierson (Spanaway) and his son, Richard Smith of Tacoma. He also leaves three brothers: Leonard Pierson (Oregon), Gary Pierson (Puyallup) and Warren Pierson (Tacoma).

He is preceded in death by two sisters from Oregon. A small family memorial service will be held at a later date.
