David F. Kleinhenz, 51, of Grafton passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born September 24, 1966 in Lakewood and was a graduate of St. Ed’s High School. David was an engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad.

He was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church . David was a school board member for Midview Schools and was very active in all things Midview including being the announcer for soccer and basketball games as well… Read More » as the marching band halftime shows. He worked the scoreboard for wrestling and basketball.

He enjoyed music,cooking,swimming, Cocoa his chocolate lab puppy and making people laugh but he was especially proud of his children. David had also been a volunteer fireman for Grafton and Elyria Twp. , and a paramedic for Life Care of Elyria.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Richelle (nee Berkel); daughters Elizabeth and Rachel both of Grafton; sons David and Andrew both of Grafton; mother Louise Kleinhenz (nee Nunn) of Olmsted Twp; sister Ann (Daniel) Fallon of N. Olmsted; brother John (Darlene) Kleinhenz of Peoria,. AZ. ; He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews .

He was preceded in death by his father John Kleinhenz. Family will receive friends 3-7 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt.

57), Elyria. 440-322-4626. Closing prayers 9:30 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St. Grafton, Ohio 44044.

Rev. Fr. John Seabold pastor will be the Celebrant.
