David James Hundley, 66, of Springfield, passed away surround by his loved ones on Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was born on April 27, 1952 in Springfield, the son of William James Hundley and Helen M. Elsner (Pratt). David enjoyed watching movies, visiting with friends and family, cookouts, studying the Bible, learning and attending AA meetings.

He particularly loved the fall season, Halloween, and Christmas. He enjoyed traveling to new places, and learning new things. In his younger days, he loved working out with weights, and keeping himself fit.

He enjoyed reading. He is survived by his children Jesse J. Hundley, and daughter Brittany Kaylee Foster (Hundley); two sisters, Sharon K. Willhoit, and Vida L. Elsner; nephew Douglas W. Willhoit; and several grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his mother, Helen M. Elsner; father, William J. Hundley; step-father David Elsner; two brothers, Rollie L Elsner and Robert G. Elsner.

Cremation has been accorded and a private memorial that is closed to the public is being held by the family.
