Howard “Teighrod” E. Behl, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence. Howard was born on November 17, 1958 in Springfield the son of Herman and Catherine Irene Degroot at Memorial Medical Center. Howard is a veteran of the United States Navy.

He enjoyed fishing and is survived by his sisters, Karen (husband Jim) Trimburger of Chatham, and Linda (husband Mike) Sosinski of Pleasant Plains; Step- mother, Betty; friends Bob and Sue Hill of Riverton, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bonnie Klauzer and Janice Suter; and brother, Herman W. Behl. Cremation will be accorded, and a private family memorial will be held later.

Howard’s final resting place will be Camp Butler National Cemetery and is being handled privately. Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 N. fifth St. Springfield IL, 62702 is in charge of arrangements.
