Kirk A. Williams, 55, of Springfield, passed away at Memorial Medical Center on Tuesday March 12, 2019. Kirk was born on November 13, 1963 the son of Don and Karen (Bushey) Williams in Detroit MI. Later in life he married his wife Virginia “Jennie” Smith on July 25, 2011 in Springfield Illinois.

On October 3, 2009, Kirk was baptized into the glory of his god Jehovah. He was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses here in Springfield. Kirk was also very proud of his children and loved his grandchildren.

During his young adult life, Kirk served in the United States Navy during the Gulf War and operation Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandson Matthew. Kirk is survived by his wife; children Ashley Duprey, Jared Williams, Michael Ross, and Cory Williams; mother, Karen Williams; step-children, Laikyne (Joshua) Platt, Ashley Cole; siblings, Lynette Strode, Laura DeMambro, and Scott Williams; grandchildren, June Eleanor, Douglas, Caiden, Kellie, Ryan, Maddox, and Rylie.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3076 Normandy Rd, Springfield, IL 62703 on Saturday March 23, 2019 at 4:00pm. Larry Price will be officiating.
