Joe Sinnard, 70, of Illiopolis, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his home. Joe was born on November 24, 1948 in Illiopolis, the son of George and Harriett (Shartzer) Sinnard. He enjoyed collecting model cars, riding horses, watching westerns, playing guitar, listening to karaoke, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Harriett Barringer; two sisters, Sarah Blackwell and Beth Sternes; and one brother, Butch Barringer. He is survived by one daughter, Leslie Sinnard; nine siblings, Ronnie (Alleen) Barringer, Donnie Barringer, Nellie Johnson, Bill (Ginger) Sinnard, Mary (Larry) Beach, Jimmy (Barb) Barringer, Allen (Nancy) Barringer, Orville Lee (Cathleen) Barringer and Rose (Mike) Housos; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life from 5-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Bunkers in Illiopolis (Old Bowling Alley) Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
