Colonel David Heflin, 59, of Mayfield died on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL. Mr. Heflin was an advocate for ADA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his two children, Kimberly Hester of Paducah and David Heflin Jr. of Benton; four grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Todd Heflin. His parents were William Heflin and Novella Thomasson Heflin.

He will be cremated per his wishes and no services will be held. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
