Collins, 62, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. David Lee Collins was born January 31, 1956 in Fargo, ND the son of Joseph Collins and Bonnie (Carlson) Bearman. He was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School.

Following high school, he was employed with Bovaird Construction. He went on to purchase the company and changed the name to D. C. Construction. Presently, he was employed with Dixon Brothers.

David enjoyed socializing with his friends and family, watching NASCAR and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He is survived by his son, Jacob (Nicole Uhlich) Collins of Wahpeton, ND; a brother, Patrick Bearman of Grand Forks, ND; a sister, Mary Jo (Tim) Winzer of Grand Forks, ND; a grandson, Jaxson Collins; nephews, Joshua (Amanda) Winzer and Christopher Winzer and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Reagan Collins.

Memorial Service: 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel. Family Greeting: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Monday.
