David Odie Qualls passed away at his home in Comanche on Friday, December 14, 2018, with his family by his side. He was born on March 23, 1958, in Comanche, to Hershel and Bertha Barton Qualls. He was 60 years old.

There will be a private family memorial at a later time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home, Duncan. David graduated from Comanche High School in 1977 and attended Western University where he received a drafting degree.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years on the USS Forrestal. He then worked at the Chisholm Trail Casino for many years as the Vault Supervisor. He also worked at the Territory Golf Course.

He enjoyed playing darts and loved watching western shows and movies. He was also interested in guns and cars. David is survived by his longtime partner, Debbie Johnson; son, Timothy Qualls; 3 grandchildren; parents, Hershel and Bertha Qualls; brother, Wayne Qualls; and sisters, Darlene Bethany and Lorrie and husband Stormy Rowe.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Lawson, Bertie Lorene Winter, Odie Qualls, and David Barton; aunts, Joyce Biffle, Wanda Chapman, Brenda McNutt, and Dovia Nalley; and uncles, James Lawson, Bill Lawson, and Jay Barton; and brother-in-law, Cleve Bethany.
