On December 18 2018, Narragansett lost its favorite beach bum. A loving father, a jovial friend and a loyal boyfriend to who knows how many. He was the son of the late Joe and Edith Carbone.

Mr. Carbone who dedicated his life to the study of martial arts under the tutelage of renowned karate master Hee Il Cho. He trail-blazed a legacy in the form of an ever-expanding chain of dojos, in which he cultivated a following of adoring students from all over the globe (which he believed to be flat). He has been honored with hundreds of awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his undying patronage towards the karate community.

You also might recognize him as that guy you probably bought a Christmas tree from on the side of the road that one time you didn’t feel like driving to Ann & Hope. He was the father of children David, Adam, Courtney, and the late Amanda. His funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s by the sea on December 30th at 2pm.

All friends and family are welcome to attend.
