Falling Waters, WV – David Robert Hendershot, 75, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 26, 1944 in Fossilville, PA to the late Robert and Lillian S. Snyder Hendershot. He was a graduate of Fort Hill High School.

David was employed by Mack Trucks, Inc. until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of Bedington United Methodist Church Bedington, WV. He was a life member of Moose Lodge #120 Martisnburg, WV and formerly of Hagerstown Lodge.

He is also a life member of Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD. David was also a member of UAW Local #171, Free Masons Friendship Lodge #84 A.F. & A.M., Ithiel Royal Arch Chapter #27, Palestine Council #16 R&SM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon #95 and St. Bernard Commandery #9 Knights Templar all of Hagerstown, MD. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Kathy D. Hendershot; son Robert David Hendershot of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; daughter Lori Sue Rowland of Hagerstown, MD; son Michael Harley Hendershot of Hagerstown, MD; sister Joann Fields of Greencastle, PA; sister Bobbi Buskirk-Shaffer of Greencastle, PA; sister Lois Myers of Hagerstown, MD; brother-in-law Jay McClanathan of Falling Waters, WV; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; his dog Colt.

He was predeceased by his grandson Jeremy Rudolph. Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Summers and Pastor Walter Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 am.

A masonic service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery Martinsburg, WV. Memorial donations may be made to: Hospice of the Panhandle 330 Hospice Lane Kearneysville, WV 25430 or Bedington United Methodist Church 580 Bedington Rd.
