ELLAVILLE, GA — Mr. David Roger Gladney, age 64, of Andersonville, GA, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Ellaville Baptist Church with burial to follow at 3:30PM in the Zion Hope Cemetery in Crisp County. Rev.

Joel Smith will officiate. Active pallbearers will include Steve Waller, Scott Clements, Jamie Register, Philip Wilkins, Billy Blackman and Crocket Beason. Mr. Gladney was born February 21, 1954 in Albany, GA the son of the late Roy and Helen Gladney.

He was very active in the Kairos Prison Ministry and the Ellaville Thursday Night Bible Study group. Mr. Gladney was also an active member of Ellaville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gladney of Andersonville, GA; daughter Anna Gladney Hall (Chad) of Cordele, GA; son, Matthew Gladney (Heather Whitaker) of Columbus, GA; sister, Martha Waller (Steve) of Chula, GA; and two grandchildren, Ella Kate Hall and Elizabeth Hall.

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive who he cared for dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Gladney Casey and Saralyn Gladney Beason. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Kairos Prison Ministry of Georgia, P. O. Box 63, Kathleen, GA 31047. Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
