David S. Floyd February 15, 1951-November 6, 2018 David S. Floyd, 67 passed away Nov 6, 2018 at his home in Mishawaka, IN. He was born Feb 15, 1951 in Guntown, Mississippi to John and Jannie (Blassingame) Floyd. He was proceeded in death by both his parents.

David is survived by his wife of 17 years Lauri (Jones) Floyd; Three daughters, Gina (Timm) Darr of Granger, IN, Carla (Jason) Ward of Elkhart, IN, and Rochelle (Brian) Ortiz of Elkhart, IN. Three step children, Nicole (Travis) McCavitt of Granger, IN, Ryan (Martina) Bonek of Granger, IN, and Kyle (Laura) Bonek of Granger, IN; 14 grandchildren, and several nieces/nephews. He is also survived by one sister Jannette (Brett) Wagoner of Elkhart, IN, and two brothers, Tim (Sherri) Floyd of Three Rivers, MI, Scott (Tracy) Floyd of Lakeville, IN.

He is a graduate of Penn High School. He worked for AM General for 40 years and belonged to the UAW Union. He was a member of the South Bend, IN Chapter HOG (Harley Owners Group).

His children remember him as a kind, gentle, and patient father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and is adored by many friends. He was a generous and funny individual who loved riding his Harley. He also enjoyed playing his drums, tinkering with his Javelin and racing funny cars in his younger years.

In place of a funeral, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday November 17, 2018, from 3p-7p.
