David Smith was born in Glendale, California on April 22nd, 1952 to Betsy Montgomery. David married Haroon B. Smith in Newport, OR on May 13th, 2006. Together they had a family, including his step daughters Herlena Shee, Hazlind Shee, Henna Shee, Hazreena Shee, and Herlezza Shee.

David was as General Manager at the Best Western, in Newport from 2005 – 2011. In 2011, he became the Manager for Otter Crest Inn until 2016. On December 9th, 2018 David passed away at the age of David leaves behind his wife Haroon, his mother Betsy Montgomery, a brother Mark Montgomery, a sister Cheryl Dunn and Stepdaughters: Herlena Shee, Hazlind Shee, Henna Shee, Hazreena Shee, and Herlezza Shee.
