David Stanley Charles Hein, 77, passed away with his family by his side in Gig Harbor, Washington on June 20, 2018. David was born in San Diego, California on July 13, 1940 to James D. and Helen Allen. He is deeply loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

After his father’s death in WWII, the family bought a house in Clarkston, WA and Helen married Howard Hein. David graduated from Clarkston-Adams High School in the year 1958. He worked as a baker for RuthAshbrook and then Wonderbread for over 40 years.

He was best known for his dry sense of humor, his love of food, and his passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed golf and the San Jose Sharks hockey team. His children are thankful that David found happiness in his golden years with Marjorie McPherson.

David is preceded in death by his father James Allen, his mother Helen and stepfather Howard Hein, and his brother James Douglas Hein. David is survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Marjorie McPherson; his daughter, Denise Schwendeman and grandchildren Cody and Kaitlyn of Woodinville, WA, and his son Douglas (Annette) Hein of Sammamish, WA; extended family including Donna, Joan, and Linda and his dog Rocky.
