David Townsend, Jr., 58, of Sanford, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, following a long illness. H was born October 13, 1960 in Biddeford a son of David and Suzanne (Lamirande) Townsend Sr. and was educated in Sanford. David had worked as a welder in the manufacturing industry.

As a young man he had been a wood carver. He is predeceased by: His father: David Townsend, Sr. in 2002 A brother: Darren Townsend in 1996 3 sisters: Donner Vacari in 2011 Deeanne Townsend in 2015 Dorothy Townsend in 2017 Surviving are: Her mother of Saco 4 sisters: Debbie Stockwell of Biddeford Diane Wildes of Saco Doreen Townsend of Biddeford Darlene Ireland of Parsonsfield Nieces and nephews No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.
