David Victor Miller, 66 of Lisbon, North Dakota died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Essentia Health Fargo, North Dakota. Dave was born on January 22, 1952 to Victor and Helen (Smerdahl) Miller in Fargo. He attended school in Lisbon, graduating from Lisbon High School in 1970.

Dave also attended two years of college before he started his career in farming. On July 24, 1976 he was united in marriage to Rita L. Loeb at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church near Raleigh, North Dakota. Dave continued to farm until a car accident left him a Quadriplegic in 1980.

Dave was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed watching sports, using his computer and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Dave loved watching his sons and nephews play sports and watching them grow up into fine young men.

He especially enjoyed time with his grandson and loved being Papa. Dave is survived by his wife, Rita Miller of Lisbon, ND, two sons, Dana (Christina) Miller and Dustin (Faleesha) Miller both of Fargo, ND; grandson, Jase David; brothers-in-law, Bob Cole of Lisbon, ND and John Carlblom of Lisbon, ND; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Virginia Cole and Patty Carlblom.
