Rougeux Jr. Print David W. “Big Dave” Rougeux, Jr., 60, of Greene Township, passed away on Monday December 10, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his wife and kids following a three year battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on September 1, 1958 a son of David W. Rougeux, Sr. and the late Martha Durst Rougeux. Dave worked at Urick Foundry for 38 years as a melt operator and most recently as a pattern storage attendant before retiring in 2015.

He was a very loving husband, father, and papa and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid bowler having achieved three perfect games at Eastway Lanes. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sitting around the campfire.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Larry Harkless, and his beloved dog, Cubbi Bubba. In addition to his father, survivors include the love of his life, Sheri Fasenmyer Rougeux; one daughter, Mary Rougeux Hyzer and her husband, Stan, of Erie; one son, David W. Rougeux III and his wife, Katie, of Greenfield, PA; one granddaughter, Alyvia Hyzer; one sister, Leanora “Sissy” Harkless of Virginia; two brothers, Timothy Rougeux of Erie and Theodore Rougeux and his wife, Beth, of Pittsfield, PA; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.

, on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
