Obituary for Dawn Lynnae Blilie Dawn Lynnae (Nelson) Blilie 51, passed away at Bethany on University, September 7, 2018, under the wonderful, loving care of Bethany staff andHospice. Dawn was born January 3, 1967 in Valley City, ND, baptized at Nebo Lutheran Church. The family moved to Thief River Falls, MN, where she attended school and was confirmed at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church, rural Viking MN.

During school years she played trumpet and piano. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Fargo, and graduated from NDSCS in Wahpeton in 1988 with an associate degree in Diesel Mechanics. Dawn worked at various jobs in the area including office, farm and semi gravel truck driver for many years.

Whatever she did was done with attention to detail and perfection. She lived many years in Christine, ND and recently in Wahpeton, ND. She married Dave Blilie in 1997, divorced in 2011.

She loved nature, snow, a good thunderstorm, the beautiful sky, plants, animals and birds. She also enjoyed gardening, needlework, artwork and baking. She was kind to animals and kind and helpful to everyone she met.

She is survived by her mother, Myrna Olstad, West Fargo; father, John (Caroline) Nelson, Ottertail MN; sister, Corey (Kent) Jonson, West Fargo; her grandmother, Olive Olstad, Fargo; nieces Casey and Kelly Jonson, West Fargo; Shandy Nelson and great niece, RayeLee, Viking, MN; nephews Jacoby Nelson, Viking, MN; Jesse Nelson, Williston ND. Aunts and uncles, Jan and Mike Haugen, Fargo; Edie and Tom Hockenberry, Mendota Heights, MN; and Sharon and Al Johnson, Hope, ND. Cousins, Greg Haugen, Darrin Haugen, Jennifer McCormack, Alison Hockenberry, Lynnette Anderson, and Brenda Larson.

Preceded in death by brother Randy Nelson, nephew Jerad Nelson, grandparents Lawrence and AnnaMae Nelson and Mylo Olstad, and step-father Doug Olstad. Funeral service will be 10:30 Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City; with visitation one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Valley City.
