Dawn Marie Pflanz, 62 of Binghamton, passed away March 20, 2019 after a brief and sudden illness. She leaves behind her husband of 42 years, Robert Pflanz Jr., their son Anthony, four grandchildren; Jennifer, Cole, Braedon and Elaina, sisters Candy Beardsley, Cindy (K. Ben) Robinson and her “third sister” her cousin Teri Fleming .

She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael (Debbie), Bonnie (George), Rick (Robin), Donna (Joe) and her father-in-law Robert Sr. (Sandee) along with nieces and nephews, Douglas Day, Daniel Day, Geoffrey Rosevear, Monica (Tim) Burgh, Bethany Rosevear, Christian (Hannah) Rosevear, Crystal, Joshua, Theresa, Dakota, Demi, Miles and Noelle. She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Millicent Williams and brother-in-law Tom Rosevear. Dawn was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School class of 1975.

She worked for the Broome County Sheriffs office for 42 years before her final retirement. In years past she enjoyed square dancing and bowling. She loved quilting with the Patchwork Angels and sharing her quilts with family and friends.

She also enjoyed playing games with friends, family vacations and travel. Dawn was a lovely and kind person with an amazing smile that could light up any room and she brought joy and laughter to those around her with her hilarious one-liner jokes that she had for nearly every situation. She will be dearly missed by all.

The family will greet friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Saturday March 23 at New Life Ministries, 201 Hill Ave. Endicott NY 13760. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm.

Dawn’s family extends their deepest appreciation to the ICU staff at Wilson hospital for the special care they gave to Dawn this past week. Honoring Dawn’s generous spirit, the gift of life was shared through skin and tissue donation. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association.
