Obituary for Dean Johnson Marshall Dean Johnson, of Chariton (formerly of Des Moines), passed away October 9, 2018 at the Lucas County Health Center in Chariton at the age of 72. No services are planned at this time. Dean was born in Des Moines to Marshall and Alberta Johnson on March 28, 1946.

He graduated from North High School in 1964. Dean was a union carpenter specializing in drywall and paint. He also worked in maintenance at the Kerrville Hospital in Kerrville, Texas.

Dean and Carol moved to Chariton in 2006. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his retirement. Dean is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters: Heidi, Tracy, and Stephanie; and sisters: Debbie Brown and Vickie Farrell.
