Debra Jean Loper, 57, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Wayne UNC Healthcare. Debra was born at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines on December 9, 1961 to Donald T/Sgt(Ret) and Dorothy F. Loper of Goldsboro. She worked in Civil Service for over 30 years at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base with the Civil Engineering Squadron before transferring to the Base Clinic and working as a GS-9 MEPRS manager.

Debra will be greatly missed by many and especially by her family. A service to celebrate Debra’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Deeann M. Loper and Donna Loper Keim and husband Arlan (Msgt/Ret); nephew, Jim Lunzmann and wife Sallie; niece, Nikki Mathe and husband Joseph (T/sgt); great-nephews, Will Peters and Layden Mathe, and her great-nieces, Kalyn Mathe, Minden Mathe, Mary Helen Lunzmann and Caroline Grace Lunzmann.
