Obituary for Deda Sheffield Deda Sheffield, age 67, passed away on Tuesday November 20, 2018 in Tallahassee, Fl surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Port St. Joe, Fl on October 24, 1951 to Willard “Phonzo” and Soledad Hidalgo Gilbert. Deda graduated from Port St. Joe High School in 1969, attended Florida State University and had a successful career in telecommunications.

She is survived by her husband James Sheffield, her children Melissa Nichols and Joshua Sheffield, two grandchildren and five siblings. Deda enjoyed gardening, music, art and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She always lived life with passion.

A grave side service will be held at Holly Hill cemetery in Port St. Joe, Fl on a date to be provided. “she was never crazy. she just didn’t let her heart settle in a cage.

she was born wild, and sometimes we need people like her. for it’s the horrors in her heart which cause the flames in ours. and she was always willing to burn for everything she has always loved”.
