Obituary for Delbert Barnett Delbert L. Barnett, age 79, of Merrill, formerly of Antigo died Monday, July 16, 2018 at Ascension Good Samaritan Hospital in Merrill. Delbert was born on July 31, 1938 in Laona, WI to the late Virgil and Nona (McIntosh) Barnett. He was united in marriage to Bobette Crandall on March 19, 1960 at First Baptist Church in Antigo.

The couple later divorced and remained friends. Delbert worked for various area potato farms and Steber Lumber in Deerbrook. He resided in Bryant for most of his life.

He enjoyed the Milwaukee Brewers, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his former wife Bobette, a daughter, Colleen (Kenneth) Wiemann of Wisconsin Rapids, 3 sons, Clint Barnett of Bryant, Matthew (Ann) Barnett of Montello, WI, Mark Barnett of Wisconsin Rapids, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a sister, Joan Fay of West Bend, WI, and a brother, John “Lee” (Ruby) Barnett of Antigo. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Virgil, Jr. and Charles and an infant daughter Donna.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 24 at Bent Cemetery in Bryant at 1:00 PM. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Delbert Barnett please visit our Sympathy Store.
