Delmer Lee Lanphier, a resident of Vancouver, WA since 1973, passed away on Jan. 21, 2019. He was born on Oct.

31, 1926 in Killduff, IA. Delmer served in the U.S. Army Air Force World War II. He married Joanna Mae Halferty in 1950 until her death in 2005.

Delmer retired as an Electrical Engineer at Bonneville Power Administration. He was a generous and kind man who enjoyed golfing, casual bicycle rides, a good joke, tending his roses, movie going, card games and board games with the family. He will be missed.

Delmer is survived by his daughters, Rosa Colleen Lanphier of Vancouver, WA and Morgan Lanphier (David Silbernagel) of St. Regis, MT; grandson, Ryan Morgan (Becca Smith-Morgan) of Portland, OR; great-grandchildren, Lucy Morgan and Miles Morgan of Portland, OR; sister, Twyla McJunkins of Malvern, AR; numerous nephews and nieces, friends and special friend, Lois Porch of Vancouver, WA. As per his wishes, there will be no memorial service or celebration of life. If anyone wishes, you may donate to the Fort Vancouver Lions, of which he was a longtime member.
