Obituary for DeLois Brown-Muth On Thursday, September 27, 2018, DeLois Brown-Muth, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 83 while surrounded by her loving family. DeLois was born on June 24, 1935 in Maud, Oklahoma to Floyd and Faye Brown. She was a highly respected wallpaper contractor and decorator for over 25 years.
She worked many years as a nanny, caring for her dearly loved niece. Her first marriage of 29 years resulted in 3 daughters. In 1993, she married Raymond Muth, the love of her life.
Together they traveled, enjoying an active and happy life together. DeLois enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and interior decorating. She traveled to Europe and Alaska with her dear friend, the late Josephine Mazzera.
She was known for her kind and compassionate spirit, a genuine down to earth personality, sense of humor, beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. When DeLois became ill her husband, Ray, dedicated his life to taking care of her. She lived and died with grace.
She cherished her family and was an adored wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. DeLois was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Brown, and her mother, Faye (Bodkin) Brown. She is survived by her loving husband Raymond Muth, her 3 daughters and 3 son’s-in-law, Leisa and Jere Foutz, Trina and Robert Macchi, Terrie Freni-Johnson and Jeff Johnson, her step children Karen (Muth) and Chino Godinez and Randy and Anita Muth-Conforti, her 6 Grandchildren Timothy and Julia Macchi, Samantha Koblitz, Myles Foutz, Julia and Tristan Johnson, her 6-great grandchildren, Ella and Noah Koblitz, Colton Foutz, Colbie, Callan and Zoe Macchi, her sister Oleta Merlino, her brother and sister-in-law Floyd and Pat Brown, her nephew and his family, Chuck and Lisa Goodridge and their daughter Rachel, and numerous additional beloved nieces and nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 10:00am at Herberger Family Elk Grove Funeral Chapel located at 9101 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95624.
