Delores “Lori” Anderson, 93 of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Bristow, Oklahoma. She was born July 1, 1925 in York, PA to the late Earl Sylvester Heist, Sr. and Inez Anna Geltz Heist. Lori was married to the love of her life, Robert S. Anderson, Sr. who predeceased her in 2000.

Those who knew her the last 5 years of her life in Oklahoma were intrigued by her stories of what her life was like in Pennsylvania and the ways of the Pennsylvania Dutch people.

Lori’s expressed desire was to be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a woman of prayer. Lori is survived by one son, Robert S. Anderson, Jr. and wife Brenda of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Keilani Bowers and husband Mark of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Beth Froese and husband Robert of Inola, Oklahoma and Brandy Leyva and husband Albert of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Matthew Meeker and wife Deleea of Inola, Oklahoma; one step-grandson, Chris Houk and wife Shelley of Verdigris, Oklahoma; one step-granddaughter, Stacy Weber and husband Dustin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Waylon, Rosslyn and Margot; five step-great grandchildren, Kylee, Chase, Jordyn, Jaxon and Avery; one brother, Earl Heist, Jr. of York County, PA; two sisters, Shirley Salisbury of York County, PA and Joyce Peters of Washington State; and twenty-nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; three daughters, Wendy E. Anderson, Deborah A. Meeker and Cheryl L. Anderson; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 2-3pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 in Dillon Marler Dighton Funeral Home’s Legacy Chapel, 1200 North Cleveland Avenue, Sand Springs, Oklahoma with funeral services immediately following at 3pm in the Chapel. Burial will take place in York, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial in Honor of Delores Anderson to “Back To The Bible” by calling (800) 759-4569.
