Deloris Chantell Campbell August 29, 1948 – May 9, 2019 Deloris Chantell Jenkins Campbell 70 years of age was born August 29, 1948 in Roanoke, VA. She was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on May 9, 2019. She was 70 years of age.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar L. Jenkins, Sr., and Bertha Mae Wright Jenkins, sister Patricia A. Jenkins and brother Oscar L. Jenkins, Jr She is survived by her husband Marvin L. Campbell, daughters; Verniesa Jenkins, Charlene Jenkins-Logan (Michael), son; Devonta Campbell, brother; Ronald Jenkins (Baltimore, MD), grandchildren; Chelisea Jenkins, Shaquan Jenkins, Quinn Jenkins, Imani Jenkins, Molicia Tumaline, Zamari Talley, Zaiden Tumaline, J’anrryah Tumaline, NaJaah Tumaline, nieces; Michelle Jenkins-Jones(Dana), Domonique Jenkins, Sydney Jenkins, nephews; Don Jenkins and Donte Jenkins, sisters-in-law; Carolyn Jenkins, Marilyn Davis (Silas), Diana Lewis (Calvin), Anita Campbell, Bernice Campbell, brothers-in-law; Maurice Campbell and Bernard Campbell, special loved ones; Dianne Gunter, Sabrina Poindexter, Eugene M. Poindexter, Marilyn Hancock, Lucart Tumaline (Edwidge), Jamar Franciyo, Cory Nealy and Demonte Dillard, devoted friends; Shermaine Greenhowe, Shirley Poindexter, Rovella Ferrell, Brenda Wright-Peeler, the Waller family, and the Andrews family. A host of family and friend whom she loved dearly.

Chantell attended Roanoke City public schools and was a majorette at Booker T. Washington Jr. High. She was employed by Camelot nursing home for four years. She always put God first then her family with unconditional love.

She was a devoted home maker, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, godmother and best friend. She had a special love for children and helped raise all the family and friends’ children. She never met a stranger.

She gave a home and meals to those who were in need. Her favorite thing to do was cooking. She loved people, family gatherings, and her soap operas.

As she walks around Heaven she is still operating in her gift of loving and taking care of the most precious things of God.
