Denise G. Pari Of Vestal Denise G. Pari, 86, of Vestal passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born March 17, 1932 in Binghamton, NY the daughter of the late Jeanne (Gilinsky) and Albert T. Stearns, and loving wife of the late Anton Pari, her brother Conrad Stearns also predeceased her. Denise was a lifelong resident of Vestal.

Suffering from Cerebral Palsy her entire life she endured many hardships both in school and her social life, however Denise dealt with this and refused to let her handicap define her life. In her own writings she tells how she overcame that and made her the person we all knew and admired. She retired from Binghamton General Hospital where she worked many years in the Dietary department.

She loved to walk, read, playing bridge and her weekly shopping outings to TJ Maxx and Walmart. Surviving Denise are her two sons; Abraham and Richard Pearson, three grandchildren; Peri, Lloyd, and Lindsey, her brother, David (Phyllis) Stearns and sister-in-law Barbara Stearns, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Denise is also survived by longtime special neighbor, Tony Aikey, dear friends and caregiver Lisa (Jim) McCoy, also Michael and Troy Aikey and companion Gene Riley.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday September 18th at 1:00 pm at Temple Israel- Riverside Cemetery, Conklin, NY with Rabbi Geoffrey Brown officiating. Arrangements are with the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home 71 Main Street, Binghamton NY. Please visit ParsonsFuneral.
