Obituary for Dennis Dean Ahnen Dennis Dean Ahnen,74, of Boscobel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 10, 2018. Dennis was born in Steuben, WI to Bernice Ahnen and Tex Serpa. Raised by his grandparents, he attended school in Boscobel.

Dennis proudly served his country in Vietnam where he earned 3 bronze stars for heroism. On September 24,1971 he married Cheryl Stickley. Together they had two sons, Heath (Kelly) Ahnen of Fennimore and Ryan (Bobbie) Ahnen of Albany.

His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Denny is further survived by his grandchildren Olivia, Will, and Wyatt Ahnen and Ava and Lydia Ahnen; his sister Bea Campbell of Boscobel; brothers Steve (Theresa) Wetter of Boscobel, Perry (Susan) Ahnen of Lancaster; Half brothers Gary (Jean) Marks of Spring Green, John Marks of Plain; half sisters Renae (Peter) Finnigan of Madison, Marilyn Downs of McFarland, Tammy (Mike) Baker of Sauk City, Judy (Dennis) Olsen of Platteville; Brother-in-law Larry (Barbara) Stickley of Boscobel; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He enjoyed playing with grandpuppies Mo and Finn and his best buddy Nevada the cat.

He could often be found watching his grandkids at their many activities. He spent many enjoyable hours fishing on the Mississippi and Woodman Lake and hunting on the Stickley farm. Denny was a jack-of-all-trades from mechanics to carpentry.

If he couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed! Denny worked many years for Wick Homes, Design Homes and retired from Building Systems in Madison in 2006. Denny will be missed daily, but especially on holidays for family gatherings.
