DeSANTIS, Dennis M., RIDOC (Ret. ), 69, of Lonsdale St., West Warwick, passed away Wednesday evening, November 21, 2018 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane H. (Mayer) DeSantis.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Constance R. (Martin) DeSantis of Coventry and the late Earl H. DeSantis. He has been a resident of West Warwick for the past 19 years, previously residing in Woonsocket. Mr. DeSantis was a correctional officer with the RI Department of Corrections for thirty two years before retiring in 2014.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events. He was a member of the RI Brotherhood of Correctional Officers. Besides his mother, he leaves a daughter, Hope E. Carlson and husband John of West Warwick; two sons, Dean M. DeSantis and wife Holly and Mark D. DeSantis and wife Erin both of Narragansett and seven grandchildren, Ashton, Hannah, Nicholas, Paige, Kayla, Olivia and Kaiya.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at 10:00 am in Christ the King Church, Legris Ave. , West Warwick.

Inurnment will follow in Union Cemetery, Smithfield Road, North Smithfield. Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Information and condolences, please visit: www.
