Dennis O’neil Turner, 62, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, December 6, 2018 at home with his loving family by his side. Born November 6, 1956 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Shirley J. (Warner) Turner and the late Robert O. Turner. Dennis was a 1975 graduate of Spring Grove High School, Hanover, PA.

He worked for the Packing Corporation of America for the past four years as a packer. Dennis was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Spring Grove, PA. He was a member of the Hanover Eagles Post #1406, the McSherrystown Home Association and the Hanover VFW Post #2506.

Dennis enjoyed bowling, family gatherings, camping, playing cards and watching baseball and football, especially the Baltimore Orioles and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dennis is survived by his siblings, Sharon Breighner and husband Mike, Donna Heiser Turner, Dean Turner and wife Mitz, Jean Turner, Tina Costley and husband Darrell, and Bev Turner; and his ex-wife, Teresa (Stair) Turner, whom he and his family remained friends with. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Turner.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Dennis will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Susan E. Fritz officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice Program of the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 North Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331, or to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
