Obituary for Dennis W. King Age 70, of Braidwood, IL passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. Born August 25, 1948 in Joliet to the late Charles and Geneva (nee Quick) King. Veteran of the United States Army, having served during Vietnam.

He earned the title of Sergeant and was also awarded with a Bronze Star. Member of the VFW Post #5422 in Wilmington and the Braidwood Recreation Club where he served on the fishing council. He was also a former deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara (nee Earley) King of Braidwood, whom he married July 15, 1972 in Braidwood; two daughters, Michele Ryan of Manhattan and Melissa King of Greenfield, MA; one grand-daughter, Isla Ryan; one brother, David (Judy) King of AZ; and one sister, Annette (the late Ben) Kincheloe of Wilmington. Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 4-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be from the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home Wednesday, November 28 at 9:30 a.m. to the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Braidwood.
