Dennis Wayne Adams , August 31, 1956 — December 10, 2018

Dennis Wayne Adams, 62, passed from this life to his Heavenly Home on Monday, December 10, 2018 after a lingering illness. He was born August 31, 1956 to Floyd Henry Adams and Leona Fern Gasser Adams in American Fork, Utah. He attended Pleasant Grove High School, graduating in 1974.

He was raised on a farm where the family raised their own beef, pork, and chickens and planted a large garden to feed the family. Dennis loved life. He was an avid hunter and spent many years with family and friends bonding together in the beautiful Utah Mountains.

He was a dedicated horseman and loved sharing his passion with family and friends. He spent many years roaming and camping in the mountains with his horses. He loved finding and admiring the beauty of the wild horses he would encounter on his many adventures.

He loved following elk herds and spotting deer. He has been referred to as a modern-day John Wayne. He loved camping, boating, hunting and fishing with family and friends.

He was truly an outdoorsman. Dennis worked in the Environmental Engineering field testing water systems in wells, rivers, and mines for the government. His passion for his family was one of his many wonderful attributes.

He loved spending time with them. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Jeremy Adams, Pleasant Grove, Utah; and Jessica Adams, Provo, Utah; and eight grandchildren.

Four sisters; Leona Adams (Gary) Edmonds, Layton Utah; Carolyn Adams (Larry) Burningham, Benjamin, Utah; Barbara Adams Milne, Lehi, Utah; and Pauline Adams, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Two brothers; Myron Kay (Lori) Adams, Springville, Utah; and Craig Lee Adams, Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father; Floyd Henry Adams; Mother, Leona Fern Gasser Adams; a sister, Glenda Rae Adams Tanner; and two brothers, Floyd Grant Adams, and John Albert Adams.

We would like to thank the Dr’s and staff at the University of Utah Medical Center, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and First Choice Hospice for the gentle care they gave him over the last 6 months. We would also like to thank all the family, friends, and neighbors for the many tender loving mercies extended in his behalf. A private service was held for family and friends.
