Diane’s Obituary Diane Maxwell, 61, of Mexico passed away Monday, May 13th at Boone Hospital. Ms. Maxwell was born September 25, 1957 to Roy & Nelda Monk. She graduated from Mexico High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant at Continental Products for almost 30 years.

Diane was also the primary caregiver for her mother and father, providing loving support and joy to them for many years. She enjoyed quilting, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and she loved to grow flowers. She loved float trips with the family, hiking, and relaxing and watching the hummingbirds at the peaceful Bunker Hill resort.

Diane was a kind, gentle, funny, creative soul who cared deeply about others and was loved deeply in return. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday at the Arnold funeral home, with funeral services to celebrate her life following at 12 noon. The Reverend Jerry Ostrom will officiate.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Survivors include: 3 sisters – Linda Fletcher of Olathe, Kansas; Brenda & Larry Martien of Ozark, Missouri; Michelle Monk of Bloomington, Illinois; and four nieces and nephews – Jenny & Ryan Williams, Amber & Sean FitzGibbons, Clinton & Shana House and Steven Mackenberg. Great-nephews and niece include: Tanner and Colton Williams and Maggie and Elliott FitzGibbons.

She is also survived by 1 aunt, Carol Bradley of Auxvasse, Missouri, and numerous rowdy cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Nelson Monk. Ms. Maxwell was a member of Centennial Baptist Church of Mexico.

The family suggests memorials be made to The King’s Daughters Home of Mexico, Missouri.
