Diane Lynn Bechdel, 53, of 438 S. Highland St., Lock Haven, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Diane was born in Williamsport on September 13, 1965, the daughter of the late Joseph Donat and Jean Ertel Woodring, who survives in York. She was a graduate of York County School of Technology and Pennsylvania College of Technology.

On August 16, 2008, Diane married Michael S. Bechdel, who survives. Diane thoroughly enjoyed her job and the children she transported while working as a school bus driver for Susquehanna Transit on the SVRCS bus route. She was a talented seamstress, an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football team and a proud volunteer at the annual Smoke Country Jam Festival.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially on their camping trips. In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by five children, Jordan Caprio of Lock Haven, Miranda (Matt) Condo of Salladasburg, Logan Donat of Lock Haven, Aubrey Bechdel of Lock Haven and Natellica Bechdel of Lock Haven; a sister, Brenda Donat of Illinois; a brother, Dan (Crystal) Donat of Dover; her uncle who she was very close to, David Ertel of York; and three grandchildren, Maleya, Mason and Gabriella. A Memory of Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 beginning at 12 P.M. at Little Pine State Park, 4205 Little Pine Creek Rd.
