Diane Celeste O’Brien passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2018 after a brave battle against cancer. Born December 30, 1957 in Oak Park and was a long time resident of Villa Park. Following her successful career in social work, Diane worked in medical services and at the time of her passing was working for the DuPage Medical Group.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother Shirley O’Brien (nee Dorris), her father George O’Brien, maternal grandmother Margaret Dorris (nee Mandyke), grandfather Sigmund Dorris and uncle Norman Dorris (Carol). Diane is survived by her sisters Marlene, Ellen Kukla and Marianne O’Brien, her brother Michael O’Brien (Marcy), Nieces Rachel Pultorak and Rebecca Ascher (JJ), nephews Chris Kukla (Lisa), Daniel O’Brien and Shawn O’Brien (Kasie) as well as grand nieces Haylee Pultorak, Nacadia and Neveah. A devoted mother to her furkids, Diane’s first stop on her heavenly journey was surely the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with faithful dogs CIrce, Henry and Faith along with her loving cats Clara and Mya.

Visitation Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm at Williams-Kampp Funeral home. Funeral service Friday 10 am at the funeral home Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery In lieu of flowers, Diane requested that donations be made to Dupage Animal Friends. www.
