Digna Rosa Barahona July 13, 1946 – February 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Digna Rosa Barahona passed away at home in Groesbeck on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at age 72. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel (1215 E. Yeagua St., Groesbeck. ) Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Ingelsia Camino Es Mi Salvacion Church in Mexia (111 Palestine St.), with Pastores Javier Ojeda y Vicky Ojeda officiating.

Burial will follow in Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck. Pallbearers will be Damian Alexander Barahona, Mike Keneth Barahona, Carlos Roberto Barahona, Luis Miguel Barahona, Jose Luis Barahona, and Victor Escobar. Digna Rosa was born July 13, 1946 in Fransisco Morazan, Honduras.

She moved to Dallas, Texas to live with family five years ago, and in the past year has lived in Groesbeck, TX. with her great granddaughter and family. She was the best grandmother ever, and the great grandchildren in Groesbeck, Andrea, Bryan, Adele and Ruben Felipe Barco loved having her with them in their home.

Mrs. Barahona was preceded in death by her mother, Maria de los Santos and Dominga Barahona who took care of her and was like a second mother; and a son, Yuri Alki Barahona. She is survived by a daughter, Yeni Marilyn Barahona of Dallas; four sons and their families: Damian Alexander Barahona, Mike Keneth Barahona, Carlos Roberto Barahona, and Luis Miguel Barahona, all of Dallas; granddaughter, Vilma Estela Sierra de Barco and husband Ruben Barco and their four children of Groesbeck; grandchildren living in Dallas and their families: Jose Luis Sierra, Mike Barahona, Alondra Barahona, Geder Barahona, and Abril Barahona; and Cristian Roudales Guzman of Honduras.
