Dollie Reeves Augusta, GA – Dollie T. Reeves, beloved wife of Robert A. Reeves, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Roland W. and Angelina B. Transou, and her niece, Janet Harrison. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include daughter: Jasmine Reeves and adopted daughter: Jennifer Reeves; sisters: Anna Macuch (Ted) and Vicky Holmes; nieces: Holly Zeiger (Daniel) and Amanda Holmes (Mario); nephews: Edward Macuch, III (Julie), Bert Harrison (Kristie), and Alan Harrison.

Dollie was born in Elkin, NC but lived most of her life in Augusta. She earned her B.A. and M.S. degrees from Augusta College and her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia, all in psychology. She was a member of several honor societies and regional and national professional associations.

She was a licensed psychologist who worked with various populations, including private practice clients, intellectually disabled clients and juvenile prisoners. Dollie was a scholar and lifelong learner. After retirement she continued her studies of politics, cooking, science, religion, and added Franciscan studies.

Dollie was a kind, generous person with an adventurous spirit. She deeply loved her family and her pets. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to The Children’s Hospital of Georgia (MCG), 1446 Harper St., Augusta, GA 30912 or to a charity of one’s choice.
