Obituary for Dolores Goette Dolores Goette passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Hill Top Nursing Home in Kerrville, Tx. Dolores Goette was born in Savannah, Ga on April 11, 1930 to Beatrice and Dwight Whitaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 yrs, Harry Goette Sr, her parents and a sister Mary Rogers of Columbus Ohio.

She is survived by 3 children: Harry Goette Jr. (Edna) of Port Isabel, Joseph Goette (Anne) of Kerrville, Tx and Laura Goette Hall (Rex) of Scottsdale, AZ. 2 brothers: Louis Biel and Charles Biel of Charleston, West Virginia. 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Dolores always had a smile and a warm greeting for everyone she met. She spend her entire life in the seafood industry, first managing seafood restaurants, later catching bay shrimp (in the bays of Texas and Louisiana) on a shrimp boat that she & her husband build together to finally running Captain Harry’s Bait Stand. Celebrating special occasions and holidays with family and friends was the most enjoyable times for her.

She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. She is with her beloved Harry now. A celebration of her life service will be held at a later date for her family and friends.
