Dolores Laverne (Wood) Argersinger was born at home in Seattle, Washington on April 29, 1928 to Howard and Genivieve (Roginski) Womach and raised in Rainier Valley, Ravensdale and Enumclaw. Dolores graduated from Saint Edward’s Parochial School and Franklin High School. She married Charles Wood when he mustered out of the Army after WWII in 1947 and raised three children in Rainier Valley.

She later divorced and married Floyd Argersinger in 1971. Dolores had a long career as an Executive Office Assistant, first at Boeing with shorthand and typing and later for the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries with word processing and digital calendars. Dolores was a proud descendant of a Civil War veteran who enlisted with Union forces at age 13 in 1863 for the Kansas 16th Regiment Cavalry.

He later travelled the Oregon Trail and settled in Rainier Valley establishing a farm that after his death was purchased by Fujitaro Kubota and became part of Kubota Gardens. Dolores died peacefully in Enumclaw, Washington on July 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Charles Edmund Wood and Floyd James Argersinger; all three younger siblings, Willis, Eileen and Robert; and one granddaughter Angela (Wood) Walthers.
