Domenick “Sonny” P. Mecca, 92, 1 lifelong resident of Port Chester died November 18, 2018. He was born August 9, 1926 in Port Chester to the late Patrick and Faustine Carrieri Mecca. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1944 and then entered the US Army serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Mr. Mecca was married June 23, 1951 to Diana Signore at Immaculate Conception Church in Eastchester. He was a union electrician for 42 years with I.B.E.W. Local #501 until his retirement in 1988.

Mr. Mecca was a devoted parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church. He was an avid baseball player and played with the Holy Names Mr. Mecca is survived by his devoted wife Diana Mecca of Port Chester, beloved children Dianne Mecca Rusciano and her husband Joseph of Mamaroneck, NY, and Thomas Mecca of Port Chester, granddaughters Stephanie Mecca and Michelle Mecca, and his new great granddaughter Ariiyah Mecca-Sawyer. He was predeceased by his son Patrick Mecca who died in 2002 and his sister Lucille Mecca.

Visitation will be 9:00am to 10:30am on Friday November 23, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11:00AM at Parish of St. John Bosco (Corpus Christi) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
