Obituary for Don Edwards Kendell Don Edwards, 86, passed away on April 16, 2018, in Arlington. He was born July 9, 1931 in Enloe, Texas to Mack and Vera Hancock Edwards. Don spent his early childhood in East Texas and then moved to Dallas with his twin brother, Von Edwards and older sister, Jean Perrigo.

He began working at Neiman Marcus in 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. Don married Ima Lee Edwards on Sept.

1, 1957 in Arlington. Upon his return from duty he began working for Kawneer where he worked for more than 35 years, working his way up with positions as warehouse manager, customer service manager and retiring as a regional salesman. Don was an extraordinary, hard-working family man and friend to all.

He was an avid golfer and an overall sports enthusiast and he loved supporting his local Texas teams, including the Dallas Cowboys. Don loved to travel with his family and friends and enjoyed watching Western shows and movies. He will be remembered for his compassion and willingness to help his many friends and family.

He was a member of Woods Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Ima Edwards, of Arlington; daughter, Toni Edwards, of Arlington; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and sister.
