Donald A. Simoncic, 70, of West Deer Township, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, in UPMC St. Margaret. He was born April 6, 1948, in New Kensington to the late Alphonse Simoncic and Eleanor Strawoet Simoncic of Indiana Township A resident of West Deer Township since 1974, he worked in the drafting department at Westinghouse Emerson.

Donald served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick. Survivors are his wife, Sharlene L. Couch Simoncic; his two daughters, Heather (Jim) Chase, of Cheswick, and Melissa (Chris) Sirota of West Deer Township; and his four grandchildren, Mila, Kiersten, Zachary and Alexis; his brother, Doug (Lori) Simoncic, of Tarentum; and his two sisters, Nancy (Jeff) Lindo, of Indiana Township, and Mary (David) Sauers, of Rural Ridge. He was preceded in death by his father.

Services and burial were all private. Arrangements were under the care of the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC. , Springdale/Cheswick.
