Donald Begosh, 65, of Elmwood Park, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Donald was born in Passaic and lived in Garfield for 32 years, settling in Elmwood Park 35 years ago. Don earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from William Paterson University in 1975 and was a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service for 36 years, retiring in 2016.

He was a parishioner of St. Leo’s Church in Elmwood Park and was a Volunteer Fireman at the Garfield Fire Department Company #5 for over 40 years. He loved coaching baseball and softball in Elmwood Park. Donald was the dear son of the late Walter and Alma (Bembenek) Begosh, beloved husband of Lorraine (Johnson) Begosh, of Elmwood Park, devoted father of David Begosh, of Point Pleasant, and Kristen Begosh and her husband, Angelo Perilli, of West Grove, PA, brother of the late Kenneth Begosh, and loving grandfather of Andrew and Nathan Perilli.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donald’s name to the American Heart Association (www. heart.org) would be greatly appreciated by his family.
